The 12 brands every reseller should have on their BOLO list

These brands print money in 2026. Add them to your watchlist tonight.

A BOLO list (Be On the LookOut) is the brand cheat sheet you carry into every thrift store. Memorize these, and you’ll start seeing them everywhere.

Here’s my 2026 list, ordered by sell-through.

Tier 1 — Buy on sight, every time

  1. Patagonia — fleeces, jackets, vintage Capilene. 80%+ sell-through across the board. Synchillas are gold.
  2. Carhartt — Detroit jackets, vintage chore coats, double-knee work pants. The vintage tags (pre-2010 USA-made) carry premium prices.
  3. The North Face — fleeces, parkas, vintage Denali. Watch for “TNF Made in USA” tags from the 90s.
  4. Lululemon — Define Crops, Wunder Trains, Define jackets. Read the full guide.

Tier 2 — Strong sell-through, watch the cost basis

  1. Levi’s — vintage 501s, 505s, anything with red tab + single-stitch. Made in USA = bonus.
  2. Polo Ralph Lauren — vintage polos with unusual colorways or size tags. Avoid current-line basics (saturated market).
  3. Champion — Reverse Weave hoodies, vintage athletic. The C-logo placement matters (chest > sleeve).
  4. Adidas — vintage track jackets, Originals trefoil pieces, Y-3 collabs.

Tier 3 — Niche but profitable

  1. Filson — bags, jackets, hunting gear. American-made workwear that holds value.
  2. Pendleton — wool blankets, vintage shirts. Slow to sell but strong margins.
  3. L.L.Bean — Norwegian sweaters, vintage tote bags, Boat & Tote with personalization.
  4. Birkenstock — clean condition only. Better margins on Boston clogs than Arizonas.

How to use this list

Open Fownd, go to Watchlist, add all 12 as brand watches. Set the alert threshold at 70% sell-through (anything below is the brand having a slow week, not worth waking up for). When a watchlist hit fires, check the Store Map — the alert tells you which thrift store rated highest for that brand recently.

The watchlist is the closest thing to “passive sourcing” that exists. Fownd does the math; you walk in already knowing what’s worth checking.
